• Re: Lung Cancer

Shemay Its great to hear some positive news, I wish you well. Where did you go to get your vitamin C / lipoic acid injections? The problem most people have is finding a doctor willing to do this, and someone who is very ill may not have the time or energy to do much research. Please share this info! Thanks

  • Re: Lung Cancer - Drink Kangen Water!

Call me a sceptic, but in the sales video for this product (AKA ionised water) the guy constantly refers to the health giving properties of "ACIDIC water" when speaking about its use in hospitals. But it is referred to elsewhere as being alkaline! It may well have a beneficial effect. But the ad is very confusing.

  • Re: Foot ulcers

Is this type-1 or type-2 diabetes? How long have you had it? What is your weight and what is your diet and lifestyle like? I would second the recommendation to use Manuka honey, but at 55 you should not be getting ulcers, whether or not you are diabetic! Unless you do something about the underlying cause, this is likely to recur, ...

  • Re: Question: Using 35% food grade Hydrogen Peroxide orally with other medicinal treatments

BTW I think we should start another thread on the subject of evidence/science/alternative viewpoints. I dont think individual posts asking for help are the right place for a 3 page argument, but it is a very interesting issue and I welcome anyones input. Velda I wish your mother all the best.

  • Re: Question: Using 35% food grade Hydrogen Peroxide orally with other medicinal treatments

Velda I have read that intravenous vitamin C has been proved effective in some cases of kidney cancer, however it is not something to be tried at home and is contraindicated if the patient has brain metastases. As an alternative therapy it is relatively cheap though, compared to some of the others. I would urge your mother to see a qualified ...

  • Re: Epilepsy-Lamotrigine

Change your GP. This one sounds useless! What type of seizures are you suffering? (grand-mal, petit-mal, or other). Have you had brain scans? Any other blood tests? Do the seizures happen at particular times of the day, or when you are tired, or in a particular location? Has your new flat been checked for carbon monoxide leaks? Do you ...

CDJohnston it would be really useful if you could find out the name of this Ayurvedic Centre! Kiwigal I think you are being a little harsh. You cannot imagine the pressure a cancer patient gets from the medical profession to follow their route.

  • Re: Moods

Seroxat is evil stuff. It is only masking the underlying causes of your depression, causes horrible side effects, and if you come off it suddenly can make you feel ten times worse. Years ago I tried a low dose of it for SAD and when I stopped taking it two months later had such severe dizziness it was hard to stand up at ...

  • Re: Glandulars

I wouldnt take this stuff unless you have had blood tests which clearly show that you are hypothyroid, and are supervised by a doctor. And you need to have regular tests in order to adjust the dose. I doubt that the fact that the product is of bovine origin would cause you to feel suddenly ill, however the BSE issue would concern me! Many people ...

  • Re: Non-absorption of supplements

Do you actually know that the supplements arent being absorbed? Do you find them in the loo, or have you just had no effect from some of them? Have you got other digestive problems? Are you taking the supplements because you have read that they will help with particular symptoms, or have they been prescribed by a nutritionist alongside ...
