In the new Suzanne Somers book titled "Breakthrough" she interviews doctors. One doctor talks about this and he says that eating an avocado a day prevents cervical cancer. You may want to check that out and maybe that doctor has a website with other nutrutional advice about this.

How much food is he eating at night? There could be digestive issues. I have nausea in the morning too, and more so when I have eaten alot of food that tends to move slower through my digestive system. Does he have any constipation? If so, try a magnesium supplement. I also have UC and I read on a website once the following suggestions that worked for me.
Coconut Oil taken orally daily. You can also cook rice and put this on the rice it's delicious.

Another thing that might help is cognitive therapy. The Feeling Good Handbook by David Burnes can be purchased on amazon.com and it's one of the best for this. She can work at home and do the exercises. It's and inexpensive and great way to get effective and immediate help.
