• Re: leg cramps

Magnesium and calcium supplementation sorted this one out for me... If you have no vitamins handy, then an antacid tablet is a good quick fix until you can get to the shops and buy the vitamins. Look up foods containing these minerals and eat some daily to stop it happening again. I love my nuts! Good luck.

  • Chest infection after chemo for Leukaemia

Hi everyone, hope you can help. What I need to know is if there is anything I can give my mum to support her after her harsh treatment for Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. She was diagnosed at the end of August and has just finished her 3rd cycle of chemo. She is due for a bone marrow transplant in Jan (her sister is a perfect match) and although this is ...

  • Re: Bumps on the skin of the underside of my upper arms

I agree with the previous poster, it is a deficiency of essential fatty acids. As they said, make sure your ratios are correct. Good luck

  • Re: Panic attacks and tremors

Hi Sue. If it were me, I would have tests to check for vitamin and mineral deficiencies. Clearly when pregnant, the baby takes everything it needs from the mother, even if the mother is left without enough. This can often lead to deficiencies, for example zinc which is believed to be a possible cause of post natal depression. Because this ...

  • Boils or bad acne?

Help! I have had facial acne since my teenage years (I am now 32) and over the years, I have learnt to live with it, however, lately I have been getting massive painful spots (I think they may be classed as boils) and apart from being painful, I dont feel like leaving the house because of it and certainly not without plenty of make up on to cover ...

  • Re: phantom limb pains and itchiness

You MUST read this book called "Phantoms in the Brain" by V. S. Ramachandran. He is a leading neurologist and explains how when an area of the body is amputated, the area of the brain which would have receieved sensations from the amputated part do not simply stop being used but start to get sensations from the neighbouring parts of the ...
