Magnesium and calcium supplementation sorted this one out for me... If you have no vitamins handy, then an antacid tablet is a good quick fix until you can get to the shops and buy the vitamins. Look up foods containing these minerals and eat some daily to stop it happening again. I love my nuts! Good luck.

Thanks again to everyone who has taken the time to reply. My father is now on a varierty of supplements, a specifically tailored wieghts programme at the gym and eating more of the good stuff!
