• Re: Painful shoulders - please help

You need a good strength and flexibility training program. When you can do 40 poressups on the trot you probably won't have sore shoulders. Get some 2kg dumbells and start moving them forward, sideways and above your head. There's a good chance you've got tight hamstring, buttock and calf muscles which tilt ...

  • Re: Scoliosis

The iron law of skeletal misalignment: - bones do what muscles tell them to do. Strengthen and loosen the appropriate muscles and even up the muscular development on both sides of the body. The suggestions about Bowen therapy, pontius pilates, Rolfing and yoga are eminently sensible along with a good strength training program. Go to your ...

  • Re: Swollen left leg and foot

Hmmmm No-one so far has mentioned exercise. Swollen feet and legs is a sure sign of a body in poor shape. Maybe a recumbent cycle would do the trick, stimulate lymphatic and venous return. 20 minutes a day is good, 30 minutes better and 40 minutes best. This routine twice a day would be better still. Get the heart rate up over 120. Getting ...

  • Re: ADHD

I suspect that if you coop kids up in cages all day, some will get the attention deficit hyperactivity syndrome. (The word 'syndrome' is medical speak for 'we don't know the cause, so take a pill to mask the symptoms!') The kids are just busting to get out of the cage and race around. Instead we lock them up in ...

  • Re: Sleep apnea

Sleep apnea, just another symptom of metabolic dysfunction. If your neck size is greater than 45cms in circumference then there's a fair chance your airway will be restricted for periods of time when you're asleep. If your percent body fat is greater than 25% (for men) you're at risk. Once you can get your percent body fat down ...

  • Re: Arthritis prevention

'...... for no good reason.'? Doubtful; there is a reason and it's probably a body that's not strong enough or flexible enough to keep itself in proper alignment. Sitting in chairs all day and not exercising produces all manner of dysfunctions, metabolic, musculo-skeletal and psychological. Get someone to take a photo of ...

  • Re: Cervical spondylosis

It could be someone's giving him a 'pain in the neck', or vice versa!!! Most likely the cause is tight calves, hamstring and buttock muscles which tilt the pelvis backwards, causing the head and shoulder to go forwards. When the head is further forward than it need to be, the weight of it puts extra strain on the muscles, tendons and ...

  • Re: PCOS and Factor V Leiden

PCOS is just another of the symptoms of metabolic dysfunction - along with the usual suspects - high blood pressure, cardiac insufficiency, diabetes, being overweight, lack of energy, poor sleep, sleep apnoea ... Just as high blood pressure is not due to a lack of Avpro and arthritis to a lack of Celebrex, it's doubtful that PCOS is due to a ...

  • Re: Knee trouble

FIRST PRINCIPLE Bones do what muscles tell them to do. The knee pain is the symptom of bones out of alignment. Get them back into alignment. Then the knee joint will feel better. To get your knees back into alignment you'll need to do some exercises - getting muscles to do the work they're supposed to do to keep your bones in alignment. ...

  • Re: Fibromyalgia

Well there you go. Fibromyalgia is caused by a lack of sleeping tablets! Is this junk medicine running amok or what?Fibromyalgia is a real bugger, and the medical/pharmaceutical industry seems to be at a lost to put a finger on the cause. But you'd want to move heaven and earth to eat wisely, exercise appropriately, meditate and get the right ...
