    Kyphoscoliosis

I have Kyphoscoliosis and had my first compression fracture in the thoracic area of the spine.  I obviously want to try and avoid this happening again and wonder if anyone can give me any advice on what kind of route they took (other than surgery)  to avoid future fractures.

    Re: Kyphoscoliosis

This problem sounds like a dietary one. If your are taking polyunsaturated or trans fats in your diet then eliminate them and return to the traditional, and contrary to the cherished views of many, healthy saturated fats. Ramp down on the carbohydrates, especially soft drinks of any description, sugars, and artificial sweeteners, and try to reduce dependence on processed foods; this, of course, means that meals will require to be prepared and cooked in the traditional manner but with it comes better health. Read Sally Fallon's book, Nourishing Traditions.
