    Prostate Cancer

My husband has recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer.   We have been recommended to use Immunopower, a high dose multivitamin/mineral supplement.   Does anyone a) know anything about them and b) know of a UK importer, as we are at present importing them direct from the United States.

    Re: Prostate Cancer

We have had family members with this too, so I am sorry to hear your husband's news Heather.

Suggest you look into a supplement called Pro 6 from Forever Living Products (0844 453 2024 - ie available in UK), designed especially for a health prostate - and all natural ingredients so no side effects (unfortunately in our experience some of the treatments from the Dr do have quite horrid side effects).

Also suggest you generally look at a natural supplementation to the diet, including Selenium - Aloe Vera is a great supplement to drink but does not contain Selenium (again known for prostate health and no longer put back into the farming process as it was 50 years ago). However, Aloe will help build the immune system and give the body something to fight back with. My Dad absolutely swore by it and was able to really enjoy good quality of life living with prostate cancer for many years.

    Regards

    Re: Prostate Cancer

    Heather,

I have been treated for prostate cancer with conventional methods.  I later found out about Poly MVA.  This product interferes with the ability of the prostate cancer cells to replicate.  My father-in-law has been taking it for several years now and his psa is around 2.0.  I suggest you do a google search on poly mva as there are several companies that sell it and there are support groups where you can find out their experiences with this product.

I hope this works out for your husband.

    Grace and Peace,

    Jerry

    Re: Prostate Cancer

A routine blood test showed a PSA level of 17.8 for my husband about 2 years ago. He absolutely refused any conventional treatment. The Drs reaction was to tell him he would probably be dead in two years!! The PSA level for deciding that further investigation is necessary is 4 and that cancer is probably present is 10. He embarked on a regime of natural supplements, Saw Palmetto with Pygium Bark, Zinc, Selenium, and Nature Leaf (a plant sterol) We eat a totally natural diet - organic where possible and no processed food at all. The result of his next PSA test was 2.2 where it has remained ever since. The doctor is still scratching his head and my husband (72 years young next birthday) is still taking his supplements and enjoying excellent health.

Good luck with your regime - I have no doubt in my mind that the natural route for prostate cancer treatment is by far the best one

    Re: Prostate Cancer

Hi Heather - All the information offered here is very sound in my opinion (I am a trained nutritionist, though retired now). However it may be worth contacting a nutritionist or naturopath for a one to one session for your husband as they would be able to treat the whole person rather than just the condition. Most multi vits or anit oxidant complexes from reputable UK companies are very good and I don't think it should be necessary for you to import from the USA. Again a nutritionist in practice could advise you on this matter.

    Good Luck

    Re: Prostate Cancer

    Hi

Some very sound advice above especially that from the lady with the 72 year husband. I am a Physiotherapist and very much interested in complementary approaches to supplement my holistic approach to dysfunction and pain. I have done extensive reading and research on the subject of diet and disease, and one amazing fact I have come across is that cancer is not such a scary disease like the medical fraternity make out. The truth is cancer is merely the body' natural healing process not stopping when it should. That is, damage occurs to normal cells for whatever reason, the repair begins, but when normal tissue repair levels are reached we lack certain minerlas and vitamins to produce the chemistry to stop the healing, thus normal cells keep growing thus producing cancerous tissue. So first you need to look at what may be damaging your prostate, whether it be parasites or mercury from fillings in your teeth, or poor diet, and remove the possible causes and then treat with natural means.

Personally I do not believe that we all have cancer cells in us, we just have normal cells not being fed the right foods. If you wish to learn the truth about cancer and why medicine is failing to help, due to the highly toxic and cancer-forming drugs, then go to www.credence.org and get some of their books, especially books like "Cancer, why we're still dying to know the truth" and "Great news on cancer in the 21st century". Here you will find not only the truth behind greedy drug companies but how to treat and prevent cancer and other ilnesses. See also Hulda Clarks work on cancer and its treatment, www.drclark.com.

In conclusion, we need to look at both our external and internal environment, feed the body whole, organic, raw foods, eliminate man-made chemicals, and supplement our systems with the necessary minerals and vitamins. Cancer CAN be beaten, but it is up to us to take charge. One thing also to concider in prostate cancer is the possibility of mercury fillings, if you have any, get rid of them...heavy metals go down...and where is the prostate?

By the way, the cancer industry (multi-billion dollar industry) have re-defined the word 'survival' in terms of their treatment success to mean 5 years. In other words you can survive for 5 years and die 2 days later, but for them it will be put down as a success. Remember, they are a business and they make money from sick people, if we all became healthy, they would be out of business, hence it is not in their interest to find cures!!! Nature has all that is needed to cure disease, but it means a lifestyle change and a long-term one.

     Happy health

Re: Prostate Cancer and the Colon

The point of keeping and maintaining a clean colon is to achieve internal hygiene.  Let's take an example of what can happen if there is putrefying faecal matter within.  Instead of being evacuated, the toxins seep out through the thin mucus membrane lining of the colon wall into surrounding organs, tissue and blood vessels.  I am not surprised by the increased concern with constipation, bowel disorders, obesity, prostate issues in men and vaginal yeast infections in women. The surrounding terrain has probably been a toxic dump site for years.

Over the past eight years I have guided men with all manner of prostate issues. If you can look at an anatomy chart of that area, you will see how close the descending colon is in relation to the prostate gland. If you re-read the paragraph above, you'll understand how the prostate gland can become inflamed and irritated by toxins from nearby putrefying faecal matter.

And damage from toxins isn't limited to the prostate.  All disorders have a reflex effect on specific organs throughout the body.  Just look at any colon chart to see what vital meridians run through the colon. Blockages in the ascending colon can bring about hay fever, asthma, vitamin and calcium deficiencies and nasal catarrh.  Similar blockages in the transverse colon may create symptoms in the trachea, oesophagus, throat, heart, pylorus and stomach; in the descending colon, blockages may give rise to symptoms in the pancreas, adrenals, kidneys genitals, testes, bladder, mammary glands, uterus and prostate.

    Re: Prostate Cancer

This is a link to part of the Detoxamin website where they review a study of taking heavy metals out of the body using EDTA chelation by suppository. This gives the positive results with respect to men with prostate problems.

You should also read Professor Jane Plant’s book Prostate Cancer: Understand, Prevent and Overcome Prostrate Cancer, which centres on nutrition and the avoidance of dairy products.

    Re: Prostate Cancer

    Dear Heather,

My father was diagnosed with aggressive Prostate cancer a couple of years ago. His PSA was 63 and he was given a  Gleason score of 8 and 9.

He refused conventional treatment of Radiotherapy and Hormone injections. Instead he followed the Pfeifer Protocol. See http://www.clearfeed.com/pfeifer/ for more information.

Currently my father's PSA has been below 0.5 for about the last year and an MRI confirms no spread of the cancer.

I hope this information is helpful for you.

    Prostate Cancer

So very sorry to hear about your husband.  My heart goes out to you and your family during this difficult time.  Sorry I don't know about Immunopower but I can give you a couple of websites that are very informative.  One is by a British chap called Chris Woollams.  Very knowledgeable about cancer and how to prevent/eliminate it from your life.  He sells alot of books and other material on the subject.  www.canceractive.com  The other website is by a guy called Sir Jason Winters.  He had a nasty tumour in his neck that involved major blood vessels, his tongue and his jaw.  He refused surgery and searched the world for an alternative.  He came across a herb tea and he is still alive today.  I won't give his story away but it is amazing!  You can buy his book and his product among others from the website.  I drink the tea.  Its very palatable.  www.sirjasonwinters.com  Also google vitamin B17 or apricot kernals.  Amazing and have been proven to kill cancer back in the 70's.  Books and audio etc on the kernals can be found at www.credence.org

Just a point on PSA levels.  Just because a man has a high PSA is not necessarily indicative of cancer present.  It goes vice versa also.  A man can have a low PSA and it not necessarily indicate no cancer present.

    Good luck with your search
