Have had this condition a number of years. Affects hands over knuckles and on fingers. Affected areas can be reddened and often the area is circular.  Have had it looked at by 2 doctors. First one said they don't know why it happens but each site can last up to 7 years and then disappears. He gave no treatment.  Some areas do clear up but new areas emerge.  If knocked the area can be painful otherwise is just unsightly. 2nd doctor gave me Betnovate cream which I used for a while (may be not long enough) but without effect. He also did minor surgery to have a sample analysed. I would like to try herbal or other alternative treatment.  Has anyone had success with getting rid of this condition?

I recommend seeing a good homeopath for this problem. Patience is needed as it can take some time to clear but any cure will be deep and long-lasting or permananent.

In some cases this condition is linked to high blood sugar/uncontrolled diabetes (type 2).  I would suggest getting your blood sugar checked although no-one knows why high blood sugar can cause this problem.  Often when the blood sugar normalises, the condition goes away.

I have seen some very serious skin disorders clear up literally within days using EFT or Emotional Freedom Technique. This includes one case I have personally seen of scleroderma. The woman was given six months to live and after using EFT she is alive and clear of the disease a year and a half later.
