Hello, Aged now 64, I am a woman and I live with narcolepsy since the age of 14 years; adept of natural cures I have tried many, with no real success. I refuse chemical aids (amphetamins and antidepressants). I consider this problem more like an unresolved problem (yet) rather than an illness but I would like to know whether there is someone among other participants to this forum who suffer from narcolepsy and what they have found about this. Thanks for any reply. Noelle

Hi Noelle - how much water do you drink? Do you drink alcohol, do you smoke? Do you consume much dairy produce? Do you eat wheat? Did you have childhood diseases? Were you vaccinated? Do you have allergies? Can you describe your sysmptoms specifically? How does this affect your everyday life? Are you able to work? There are many things that anyone would need to know about you before any advice would be possible! Best, Jane

The best cure for narcolepsy is GHB.......gamma hydroxybutyrate. It was freely sold in the US as a nutritional supplement for 30+ years before being demonized by the Forced Drug Administration............who reclassified it as an Orphan Drug. It is now sold at 10X its original supplement cost of course! The reason it was reclassified was dumbass kids were putting it into drinks of young girls which caused them to pass out in a deep sleep for several hours. However although it was called a "date rape drug", GHB does not put people into that kind of catatonic state w where they can be raped. The real reason it was classified as a "drug" was it works to increase endogenous HGH levels in athletes and bodybuilders and was being used as the treatment of choice to cure narcolepsy. Can't have any nutritional supplements curing disease now can we? Randy Ice P.T., C.C.S.

As a holistic sleep and Feng Shui consultant, I would normally recommend for Narcolepsy (having first checked for food allergies, as well as environmental and lifestyle factors) to plan 3 or 4 naps of approximately 20 minutes each - but no more than 30 mins - to be taken at intervals throughout the day; ideally, this should become part of a regular routine and will no doubt require the support of work colleagues, family and friends. Hi Jane, Thank you for your reply. I have been a vegetarian since I was born and I tried to eat meat some time to see whether this would make a change. No, it didn't so I went back to vegetarianism, which suits more to my belief that it is not right to eat sensible living creatures. I went through two years of treatment with Naet Method to cure an allergy to milk products, with no change. I have had two vaccinations (smallpox and diphtery) when I was a child because these were compulsory; but with my mother - who was in advance for her time - we preferred that I be kicked out of school at 14 years old rather than undergo the inoculation of tuberlinic serum ! (I managed to be reintegrated in school thanks to a shot of salt water...... there is prescription now !). Yes I work and I worked during all of my life but I work on my own, I make my own schedules and so I can live with the handicap of narcolepsy. I have seen some people in the Association who much worse than me. In fact, I made this call to see whether there is some other people who are narcoleptic. I do not believe this has to do with diet as I have tried somany diets in my life, including eating just vegan foods, or just fruit, or fasting. No change. There is something in me that does not want the changes to happen. In fact, answering now, I think I can live with this. Thanks anyway. Noëlle

Hi, Thanks a lot for your reply. I have met a narcoleptic woman who was taking the GamaOH : in fact she was all night in a deep sleep with no paradoxical periods, that means she did not dream any more ! The encephalographic tests I have made show that I have practically no deep sleep, only paradoxical stages, that means I make a dream, I wake up, I sleep, make a dream then immediately wake up. I get into the dream state as soon as I go to sleep. This is one of the symptoms of narcolepsy. Before I had also cataplexy attacks if I tried to be funny; this had improved now but it is true that I am too serious most of the time ! In Switzerland this drug can be obtained if it is prescribed by a doctor; I do not want to take it : like most medecines it covers the symptoms but then you become dependant of this product. Thank you for your answer. Noelle

Hello, Thank you for your reply. Yes taking frequent naps throughout the day helps. The problem is I would like to be able to live without these frequent bouts of needs for sleep. I have the feeling that I waste my life when I sleep during the day. I am awake at night. Why can't I sleep normally during the night and be awake during the day, like normal people ? Well, I am sorry to speak so much about my self. I think I should once for all forget about this whole thing ! Thank you for your advice. Feng Shui is really wonderful. Noelle

Hi Noelle, My ex husband suffers from narcolepsy, since he takes "sugar-free" drinks, like Diet Coke, which is sweetened with Aspartame. This is a toxic substance masquerading as a harmless additive in many foods including baby foods, and one of the known effects is narcolepsy. I'm sure you are aware of this, but still it is worth mentioning. I guess you are meant to have lots of dreams! Best wishes, Tamara

Hi Noelle, I don't know if this is going to help you: I have a sister (62 years old) who has narcolepsy as well. I am very much interested in total biology (biologie totale in French) which is being taught by Claude Sabbah. I know this is very much limited to frenschspeaking countries (I live in Belgium). In this context, what struck me, is when you say you have had this problem as from 14 years old and you said, at some stage, that you were kicked out of school at that age. Luckily for you you could reintegrate! My sister, when I questioned her, told me she has narcolepsy since she was 16. I asked her what happened at that time and her answer was: I had to leave school because I was bad in learning languages. Afterwards, in September, she went to another school which was less difficult. Coincidence? Just think about it. And if you do not believe in this sort of stuff, just forget about it. I felt I should share this with you, because I know how difficult it is to have this problem. Take care! Nora

Have you considered receiving Spiritual Healing, which can restore you to full health? The website www.bruno-groening.org/english will put you into contact with your local Circle of Friends community, which is available over most of the world. Many thousands of people have received and kept their healings by absorbing the 'healing energy', which is a very simple and natural process. These healings have been medically verified by medical doctors. There is no such thing as 'incurable', which you will come to realise when you access the teachings of Bruno Groening. I have been witness to many healings, and know what joy and relief it brings to those who thought that there was no cure. I would recommend that you open yourself to this power, and find within it the renewal of peace and harmony in your life. Best wishes Andrew Graham

Thank you Tamara for your answer, I did not know that aspartame can cause narcolepsy but I am aware how this substance is harmful and I never take any drink or food containing aspartame. I always check on the content labels. In fact, everything that is labelled sugar-free is worse than sugar, the best is to avoid both ! In fact, when it started, in 1956, Aspartame was not yet in use ! Like many illnesses, I think there are many different parameters and it is often a combination of several factors that can start a specific problem. I often think that my body created this problem in order to solve something that would have been worse. My sister has been maniaco-depressive all of her life, she died at the age of 58. Noëlle

Dear Nora, What you write rings a bell because it brought tears to my eyes; this whole story of school has been on my mind many times and I worked on this with different therapists but probably no enough: thank you for your information about your sister. I also know about the Biologie Totale and the research of Dr. Hamer and Claude Sabbah. I still have to look about genealogy because I think there is something connected to my ancestors. Thank you and all the best to you, and my kind greetings to your sister. Noëlle
