It came about after an arthroscopy on my knee to remove a stray bit of bone after a skiing accident - I understand they filled my knee with water to make the hole big enough and that is what has caused the vein to corrupt?

Anyway I have tried various different things over the years to remove it and whilst it does not cause me any pain at all, I would like to reduce it or remove it if possible. I am 35 years old and have no other health conditions. I have already tried Horse chestnut gel and tablets, homeopathy, kinesiology, hypnosis (!) magnetic theray which does reduce it but not for long.

I have come across a new procedure called the VNUS closure which ostensibly sounds great, but then they would say that. So I wonder if anyone has any experience of this or thoughts on it? My concern is that if they close a vein / remove it then they say that the blood re-routes to another vein but is that really what happens? Surely all our veins are there for a reason? I want to wiegh up the risk of having this done against the risk of leaving it and it maybe causing other issues.

I would support any procedure with homeopathy, magnetic therapy which is great for so many things and cranial osteopathy.

Your thoughts would be most welcome.

Thank you
