Hi, my mother was diagnosed with cirrhosis of liver when it was considerably advanced. She was diabetic (insulin dependant) also. Any way I read all I could find on the disease and consulted the best in this field. Resulting conclusion---It cant be reversed. Damage done is final. Further damage can be slowed by conventional medicine --but cannot be stopped. Interferon, ribavarin etc are not CURE nor can reverse it. Final stages are extremely painfull. Last one year is mostly in and out of hospital very frequently due to vomitting blood. Blood oozes from simple injuries, even if patient accidentaly strikes a hand with some surface..it bleeds through skin. Bleeding from gums, mouth, ascieties (liquid accumulation in stomach) etc. etc. Finally..the blood vessels in the stomach, in the dietary tract, colon ooze blood and patient looses entire blood through all orifices of his body.

Very Scary Indeed.

My mother, By Grace of Almighty remained perfect in health and mostly Pain Free for five years. She was hospitalised for two days when she expired. Doctors, physicians were astonished on her health status.

TREATMENT: For 15 days she took nothing Yellow in colour, no oils, no dairy produce, no meat. Only vegetables, pulses, fruits (non-yellow). After this she reverted to normal diet..mostly organic, home cooked meals, more of veg and fruits. Upon sensing abdominal pain she would repeat the mantra. Remember she was (3rd stage) DIABETIC also i.e very high risk patient. But survived all the scary story above.

And Yes she had spritual treatment also. (which I believe made most of the difference.)

You may try. By the way now modern medicine has some advancement in Nano-technology and stem cells have been implanted in Liver successfully for two purposes--to regrow liver and to produce Insulin (yes liver is going to produce insulin for diabetics)

A Health Kinesiologist should be able to give helpful suggestions on appropriate diet (defining tolerance levels) and even ways to reduce certain stress factors so that the body has a better chance to heal itself.

Google ldninfo.org. Low dose naltrexone. Naltrexone at 50 mg treats addiction. At 1.5 - 4.5 mg, it jump-starts the immune system, without any side effects. Patent is expired so it is cheap. At the very least it stops progression of the disease/syndrome/damage. Many people report the tumor, etc., has disappeared.

That's just it; it was proven, but quickly stamped on by the all-powerful drug companies who mostly fund all scientific research. No way do they want a simple device which can stop a virus in its tracks - that doesn't make money for them. If you YouTube Bob Beck, you can listen for yourself how it works. Fortunately these drugs weren't around when our friend was diagnosed (remember he'd already had it 15 years). After using the zapper he returned for tests 8 months later and was declared free (which he already knew because he felt so well), and regular medical tests have shown his liver to be healthy ever since.

I'm very glad that you have used alternative detoxing methods in your medical treatment; I've always been puzzled as to how nasty drugs can help a liver already under great stress. I'm surprised to learn that these drugs can kill a virus, but we learn new things all the time. Chlorella is a fantastic detoxer. Animal fats, drugs, synthetic supplements and alcohol all put the liver under stress. I contracted Hep.A in Mexico. A Greyhound bus ride across the States to New York, plus no desire to eat (not knowing why) saw me practically living on fruit and water until I arrived in London and turned yellow. The doctor said he'd never felt such a healthy liver in a Hep.sufferer and my colour returned to normal in 10 days. I watched my diet and 'drugs' for 6 months and have never had problems.

Remedies and tools like herbs and zappers will never be 'scientifically' proven because those behind the science don't want to know. The 'proven' bit will continue to come from happy, healthy people whose very existence is proof. As long as a product is not likely to cause any harm (and zappers can't) I personally would try anything to restore my health. Bob Beck was threatened, assaulted and investigated in an attempt to muzzle him, but was still able to get his information out by giving it away, thus avoiding prosecution. In their own smaller way, doctors do a jolly good job at scaring people into sticking to their drug regime. It is people like Lynne McTaggart who show us they really have feet of clay - and the countless number of people written off by doctors who finally turn to natural methods and live. Just imagine if everybody began their healing that way - and only turned to doctors and their deadly drugs as a last resort....!

Heidi, thank you for your advice. I have taken the standard treatment which is Interferon and Ribvarin, It is a very intense course of chemio not withouth side effects but so far it is the only treatment proven to get rid of the virus. So far it has worked for me and 4 months after finishing I am still undetectable.

My tcm doctor has helped me with the side effects and the detox from the meds and I have taken an active role in reading up on diet and supplementation and I am feeling fine. I worry about people who think they can get rid of the virus in unproved ways as it can live in one's liver and cause no symptoms until it has wreaked so much damage that standard treatment is nigh on impossible.

I am all for alternatives and I hope your brother can come up with some scientific evidence that his zapper works. It would be fantastic to know that there is a viable alternative to soc.

I have received much help and support from my friends on the HepC Nomads forum (www.hepcnomads.co.uk) where we have people into research and alternative remedies as well as social support for Hep C sufferers.

My mother had exactly the same diagnosis a couple of years ago and on a friend's advice started to take the milk thistle supplement daily. After about a year her tests showed that the liver had much improved and the doctors were no longer so worried about it. She was absolutely amazed. I believe livers can regenerate themselves, so diet and supplementation is definately the way to go, and a good homeopath would be able to support this process.

I don't know where you are, but my brother (in NZ) made up a zapper based on the one designed at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine (never followed up on even though it killed AIDS cells in a petrie dish), and which Bob Beck (whom you can Google) based his zapper on. This seems to kill viruses and candida amongst other wonderful things, and when a friend came by and said he'd just been diagnosed with 15 y.o. Hep.C (the symptoms had only just become chronic) and given 10 years to live (no cure),my brother gave him his zapper to use and 16 years later he's still around and very healthy - no sign of Hep.C. You could both try the zapper. I'd love to know if your Hep.C goes. I've tried to get him to make it commercial, but he's too involved in his healthy home air system at the moment. I would also suggest BodyTalk (www.ibaglobalhealing.com) to keep the body communicating with itself. It's quite possible that the Body Chemistry section of BT will do the job for you anyway.

I have been reading up on this subject as I am a Hepatitis C sufferer with fibrosis (percursor to Cirrhosis) of the liver.

I am not a professional but I would suggest you consider

green tea

Viamins E and D and C

NAC and or SAMe supported by Zinc and Selenium

and of course Milk Thistle ( be ware of achoolic tincures!)

best thing would be to consult a naturopath on the correct use of supplements

Hi - I wish your friend all the best with her healing process. I would advise eating an alkaline based diet to decrease the acidity in her body which will help. On another level, I would suggest that she looks at the emotional issues around liver problems. A very good book which I heartedly recommend is Louise Hay's "You Can Heal Your Life". Another very useful process is "The Journey" by Brandon Bays. Both of these ladies had serious health issues themselves.

Cirrhosis of the liver

My friend has just been diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver. It is not alcohol related at all but due to what she described as 'something to do with her gall bladder'. She has been told that her condition will gradually deteriorate until she needs a liver transplant or she dies!! The consultant has offered her no treatment at the present time and has told her he will see her when her condition worsens. Which could be in as much as ten years time!!!

She is most anxious to follow a natural regime to try to help her liver heal itself. At the present time she feels reasonably well.

I am hoping the amazing support network of readers can come up with some ideas for her.
