Hi all, I have been treated for asthma for the last 35 years and like the visitors to this site am looking for an alternative.
I've recently learned that salbutamol, trade name Ventolin(TM), not only smoothes the bronchial muscle and thereby allowing greater oxygen* throughput, also cause hypersensitivity of the airwaves, meaning you're that much more likely to suffer an allergic response in the future, leading to more Ventolin, leading to ...

*P.S. the intake of oxygen is not the key for relief for asthmatics but the retention of carbion dioxide in the blood. In fact increased oxygen leads to saturated haemaglobin and reduced release and transportation of oxygen into the cells that need it. Reduced levels of CO2 also spell trouble as CO2 acts as a natural bronchodilator. Crazy-sounding I know, but I've experimented with it and.for those with asthma and looking to kick it for good, you can do worse than to investigate this line of work and especially the Buteyko method.
