Re: unexplained joint pain in six year old girl

    Nettie,

Try this for 2 weeks and see if it helps:

    AVOID...

    ALL Sugar

    ALL grains

    ALL dairy

    ALL soy

    ALL artificial sweeteners/additives

    Fluoridated Tap Water...and toothpaste.

    As many chemicals as possible.

    EAT...

Fresh,Organic Meats and Veggies and Eggs..her plate should be 50% Meat and 50% Veg.

Multiply her weight in kilos by 0.033 and thats how many litres of water she should drink /day...put a pinch of SEA SALT in each litre.

Plenty of SATURATED ANIMAL FATS...such as in meats and eggs.

Fish Oil  Supplement as directed on the bottle...Higher Nature do one that is filtered for toxins.

    Things to check:

Has she had any recent vaccinations?

Does she have any silver (mercury) tooth fillings?

Did she have any accident that could have caused this?

    Intestinal Parasites.

Does she have any pets?...it is possible to contract parasites from pets...The Cure For All Disease by Hulda Clark is a good book about this.

    How is her posture?

Any school activities such as Gymnastics that may be a cause.

It could be some or none of the above but they are all things you can apply yourself which will aid her body in healing itself.

    Blobby

Re: unexplained joint pain in six year old girl

Thanks for your suggestions,we all live in the Caribbean and have an amazingly healthy lifestyle and our daughter has had only the first immunization up until she was 2 and no M.M.R .or anything else since she has no fillings has not had an accident but swims, plays football ,horseback rides, roller blades, snorkels, climbs trees etc and does anything thats on offer. She has never eaten sweets and is known in the family as the fruit bat for all the fruit and veg she consumes...she loves eggs and would eat 3 or 4 a day if I allowed...she never eats beef and only occasiponally chicken or pork and a little fish if diquised.our water is sky juice as we catch it from the roof and if not its bottled..and she rarly uses toothpaste and its kiddie stuff...her posture has been good up until ythese bouts of joint pain when she walks around like John Wayne..she has recently started  gynastics at school, but does nothing more in the class than she has at home for years...I will try the fish oil supplement...to give up youghurt will be tough and to increase her water I will also tryt but she drinks alot as this is the only thing they all drink...thanks again for all your advice I will keep you posted...Nettie

    Hi

Just wondering if you had any updates on this?

If not, have the doctors x-rayed your daughters hips?

Re: unexplained joint pain in six year old girl

    Hi Nettie,

You could try working with emotional freedom techniques (EFT).  EFT is an accupressure technique that involves wordplay.  It can bring about gentle pain relief.  It can be learnt for yourself from a free download manual provided by its founder, Gary Craig.  His website is: http://www.emofree.com/a/?2436 .

The technique sounds very simple but it often provides rapid relief.  For a simple overview have a look at the 7 minute video on the website above.  It's located on the left of the page.  I don't know any practitioners in the Carribean, though have located one in the Bahamas if that's any good.  if you can find a good one near to you that may help.  Otherwise, practitioners like myself work over the phone and webcam and provide an alternative form of help.

Good luck in getting help for your daughter.

Re: unexplained joint pain in six year old girl

    Dear Nettie

LOts of what others have said is good.  One thought is foods that create uric acid in the body, which in turns causes crystallization in the body and can cause arthritis, joint pain etc.  Also, due to her age I would get her a full blood screen through the GP, most pelvic scans don't show everything due to the technique they use.  Also, have you thought about chiropractice - has she had any injury recently or in her 6 years, including how she was positioned in the womb?

really hope you find am answer

    Just a thought.

Could this possibly be Lyme Disease? I think it would be well worth looking into this as I know it is very underdiagnosed.

Re: unexplained joint pain in six year old girl

    Hi Nettie,

I would definitely have her tested for Lyme disease. There is a blood test called Panel 57 which supposedly the most comprehensive. Here are a couple of websites that might be helpful.

Best of luck, hopefully it is just growing pains.

Re: unexplained joint pain in six year old girl

    Hi Nettie,

Firstly I am sorry to hear that your daughter has been suffering with this pain in her joints. I am not a qualified practitioner but I have been using homeopathy for the past 15 years with some very successful results. I have four sons and have treated them over the years, my youngest son who is also six has displayed very similar symptoms to that of your daughter. I have discovered that these pains that mainly affect his knee joints are indeed growing pains which are quite normal for a child of this age, although not all children will suffer to the extent of ours! The treatment I have been following is  homeopathic and I have been advised by a qualified homeopath to give Calcarea Phosphorica (Calc-p.) Once a day for about a month in a 30c potency. This has been amazing ,he has not complained of pains since I started giving him the remedy. I have been told to repeat this if he complains again of the symptoms, which he has from time to time and after the first or second dose he is no longer saying his knees hurt!!

Calcium phosphate is a mineral salt and is the principal mineral constituent of bones and teeth. It accounts for about 60 per cent of the average human skeleton.

I hope this is helpful and I wish you and your family well.

    Regards,

    Deborah

Are you in a fluoridated area? Fluoride in tap water can cause joint and muscle problems.

    Please check this out.

    Hope she is getting better.

Re: unexplained joint pain in six year old girl

    Nettie,

If a 6 year old girl were brought to me for a consultation with pain of this level with this distribution I would be keen to rule out a bilateral inflammatory arthridity of which there are many, most common being juvenille rheumatoid arthritis, although this normally starts in the small joints of hands and feet.  This requires a blood test looking for rheumatoid factor and ESR (x-rays in the early stages of any arthridity are useless as it takes some 6 - 12 months to see boney changes).  I would also be keen to rule out capital slipped epiphysis of the hips, which refers pain into the knees but this would be unusual in both hips at the same time and calve-leg-perthes disease which is a necrosis of the hips.

Should there be any abnormality in the blood tests and the problem really persists, I would probably push for an MRI.

Carefully check that you do not cook in Aluminium or non stick or those new anodised aluminium pans

Anyone who is sensitive to Aluminium can get severe stomach pains and joint pains and often they are falsely diagnosed with everything from Arthritis to irritable bowel

You might also consider the possibility of Coeliac Disease ( gluten sensitivity) this can also cause the same symptoms in children

Re: unexplained joint pain in six year old girl

As a Registered homeopath of 10 years I would say that to give a child or anyone else 1 dose of Calc Phos in the 30C potency DAILY is wrong and unnecessary and could cause proving symptoms. You say that the Calc Phos has done wonders - Excellent BUT it should have been stopped as soon as the improvement began and not repeated unless your child regressed again.

Calc Phos is indeed a mineral etc but in a homeopathic potency of 30C there is none of that original mineral remaining , just the energy of it , and this works in a completely different way than the mineral itself!!
