    Bunions

A friend has been advised to use a marigold treatment for bunions. Does anyone have experience or knowledge of this therapy? Any other alternatives to surgery?

    Re: Bunions

I would recommend your friend walk barefoot as much as possible and buy a pair of Birkenstock sandals which allow the foot to spread normally.

Cod Liver Oil can help with the inflammation taken orally and rubbed on the bunion.

Your friend may also benefit from an assessment of the function of the deep abdominal wall and other core muscles as weakness in these areas could cause over pronation of ankles and flat feet which can lead to halux valgus (big toe bent towards other toes) and bunions.

This is even more likely if your friend is a runner.

A competent physical therapist can do this.

You can go to www.chekinstitute.com and locate a Chek practitioner in your area who will do the core assessment and address diet/lifestyle issues as well.

Quantum Touch Therapy can be a great help...www.quantumtouch.com

    Hope this helps.
