My son has a sore swollen breast, the doctor doesn't seem at all worried about this, should we be ? He just said to see a private specialist and have what is sore cut out ??????? that doesn't sound right to me!!

Ask for a second opinion, waste no time, go back today.  

If it is sore it may be an abcess, but it still needs treatment.  

Do ask your doctor to explain what he means, if you don't understand.  They can be wrong!

Thank you Lexa, its my son who is 28yrs, he has now been back twice to our Doctors and he has been sent for blood tests now. They both said that it was nothing to worry about but I can't believe it somehow. His left breast has been swollen and sore for quite a year or so. Should I get him to demand to see a specialist?
