    Re: Chronic fatigue syndrome

    As a sufferer of ME for the last 37 yrs I have been hugely dissillusioned by the level of comment which surrounds this topic on wddty.  I appreciate that CFS and ME are not necessarily the same, but would like to point those who wish to have the best quality, most up to date and fully genuine information about his neurological illness (ME) to the following links;

    www.meresearch.org.uk     www.investinme.org     www.nightingale.ca

    All are good starting points - the latter being especially useful in teasing out the muddied definitions of CFS and ME - illustrating the differences between the two with separate diagnostic criteria.

    I think this a great site. Constructive and very supportive. Lots of useful links and information. More than you ever get at your GP!

    Re: Chronic fatigue syndrome

    Hi I read your post about the "Lightning Process" with a lot of interest. I also looked at Phil Parker's pages. Did your daughter feel it was very expensive? as you say the price of health is relative,but it seems an awful lot of money for sessions which are shared by others.The rate per hour seems very high. If it works as well as it apparently does,it seems a pity that this price is being put on it. Perhaps a lesser price would help more people.  Thanks for any information.

     Sincerely   Judy  Langbant

    Re: Chronic fatigue syndrome

    This subject is of particular interest to Prof Ian Brighthope in Melbourne, Australia - his last seminar on the subject last week indicated that there is some hope in reducing symptoms with the new "healthy" chocolate or derivatives from chocolate which markedly increase the energy and in another seminar I attended he discusses wheat gluten's impact on the immune system and the symptoms that it can cause.  So detox and dietary changes do make an enormous difference to sufferers of this complaint.
